The sounds of Fall(P.6)
Begin quietly by rhythmically making the sound of leaves as they fall to the ground or onto piles of leaves: "ts....ts....ts....ts....". Use your hands and fingers to indicate falling leaf movements on the"ts" sounds, and use your arms on the "which" beats to throw leaves in the air. Point to an imaginary bird in a different tree on each "chirp;" then "fly" by moving your arms like wings on "woo!"
1.Vocal play: Use chants to explore the music of non-singing sounds. Using your highest voice, make each bird sound different. Make your voice go from low to high on each "woo."
2.Infants: Tap your baby rhythmically for each of the four sound effects. You might also pick him up and "fly" him on "woo!" Leave some silence after the end to allow him to take in the sounds.

I've got the rhythm(P.22 P.23)
At first, simply sing and move to the beat. When you know the song you can clapping on different body parts. It's a good brain stoming for parents and older children. Make up new verses using other body parts. For baby, we can tapping on their body parts to let them feel the beat.
Next class, we'll use a game to play with this song.

Here is the Beehive(P.20)
Tell this mini-story about friendly bees to your child with an animated voice. At the end, count the "bees" as they come out of the hive, building in energy to the "bzzz." A tickle at the end may become something the child anticipates as he asks for this chant again and again.

Old Brass Wagon(P.15)
Put on the CD and get everyone in your family up on their feet! Sing along as you do the movements suggested on the recording-"circle to the left,""circle to the right,"and so on. In the instrumental break repeat these movements or improvise some of your own . When your family knows the song, sing and dance without the recording.
History:
"Old Brass Wagon" is an old square tune, popular in pioneer times.

Merry go Round(P.38)
1.Small movement:
2.sing with props

Jack-in-the-box(P.16)
Note: Changing from soft to loud is a big part of "Jack-in-the-box."The beginning is marked"pp"which stands for pianissimo(very soft)in Italian. The most dramatic moment is marked"sfz," an abbreviation for sforzando, meaning a sudden strong accent on a single note, as for "Yes," above.
1)Song Book1: Point to the note, let your kids watch you point to the note and use your finger touch the beat on your kids' body.

2.Song Book2: Point to the picture in the book.
3.Lap Song: Hold your children in your lap, making a "house" for him by hugging him with both arms. Rock back and forth to the beat as you say the chant.

I'm a Bell(P.20)
Note: One of the wonderful things about having children is experiencing life through their eyes and connecting again to childlike playfulness and the world of imagination. For children, reality and fantasy are closely linked, so becoming a "bell" is easy and enjoyable. Join them and have fun!
1.small movement: let your children sit on your lap, move in bell-like ways, rock side-to-side, and tap the beat of  "ding" on their head.
2.large movement: let's stand up and hand in hand with your children, move in bell-like and move on the beat. But if your kids under 1.5 years old, you can hold them up, let them feel your movement.
3.Singing in harmony: separate in two parts of the melody,
(1)I'm a bell, hear me ring. Pull my string and  I will sing. Ding, dong ding, ding, dong ding. Ding, dong ding, dong ding.
(2)Ding dong, ding dong, ding dong...............................................................
